This isn't a book review, so if it's not okay to post, I'll take it down. With it being near Halloween, I was wondering: anyone participating in All Hallow's Read this year? Any scary book recommendations?

What we read (and what we thought about it)
This is a site by and for geeks who like to keep a log of what they read. We finally figured out that a communal log is even more fun, since you get to compare notes with other geeks. If you're interested in a particular book, scroll through the labels for your title or author.
1) You must have read a book to post about it
2) Fiction and nonfiction are both OK
3) Reviews have to be at least one word long
4) Reviews should not be longer than 60,000 words
5) Each review should have an end label for the title, the author, and your rating (so your review gets sorted in the side column)
6) It's very ok to review a book someone else already did
7) Tell your friends to drop by

Stephen King has ruined me! Can't read him without having nightmares, can't stay away.
That being said, there are some spooky middle grade/YA books I love: The Graveyard Book, Malice, Juniper Berry, Guys Read: Thriller, Coraline.
Great, Alison! Thanks!
My pick this year is Drood, by Dan Simmons. I'm not a big fan of gore and this one kind of stretched that limit for me, but I have to say it was very well-written and creeeeeeepy. Great read. Long read, but great read.
